Can you live in an RV or tiny home on your land in Utah?

Utah RV occupancy answers cover 19 counties: 2 are classified allowed, 4 temporary-only, 11 limited and 2 prohibited; the remaining 10 are unanswered, rather than presumed allowed.6 The allowed entries have narrow settings: Carbon County addresses recreational vehicle courts in a Mountain recreation development, while Grand County addresses RV or travel-trailer occupancy within a manufactured housing park.6 Those entries do not establish unrestricted RV residence on an ordinary private parcel.6 Consult the Utah RV-living guide and ask the parcel's planning office about the intended occupancy.6

Utah tiny-home answers cover 10 counties, all classified limited; 19 counties have no confirmed county-level answer.10 Utah's RV-park sanitation rule covers RV parks, while tiny-home permission outside parks depends on local land-use rules and how the dwelling is classified.217 RV-park rules therefore do not supply permission to live on a separate rural lot.21
