Can you live in an RV or tiny home on your land in Alaska?

Alaska's available RV answers cover 11 county-equivalents: 8 are classified as allowed, 1 as temporary-only and 2 as limited, leaving 19 unanswered.6 The temporary-only entry describes Fairbanks North Star Borough's public-park RV parking rather than private-land occupancy; we could not confirm a private-land answer from that entry, so ask the borough planning office.6 The allowed group begins with Dillingham Census Area, Nome Census Area, Southeast Fairbanks Census Area, Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area; those answers concern the absence of a county-level zoning restriction, with septic, floodplain and subdivision requirements still relevant.6192122

Tiny-home answers cover 10 county-equivalents: 9 allowed and 1 limited, with 20 unanswered.7 The allowed group begins with Dillingham Census Area, Nome Census Area, Southeast Fairbanks Census Area, Yukon-Koyukuk Census Area.7 Use the RV-living list and tiny-home list to find the local answer.67 State-owned-land camping rules apply to state land, so a state camping allowance does not establish permission to occupy an RV on private land.23
