Rules vary by district. In the A-1 agricultural district the minimum lot is 2 acres7, setbacks are 25 feet front, 10 feet rear and 15 feet side10, buildings cannot cover more than 25 percent of the lot11, and height tops out at 35 feet12. - Share of soils USDA rates "not limited" for a conventional septic drain field (SSURGO). A strict rating: the median county is about 6% and a tenth of counties are 0%, so a low figure means most lots need a site evaluation or an engineered system, not that septic is impossible.
